A Chevening scholar with over 30 years of experience in banking and academia, Dr. Ururuka has held senior roles at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and UBA Plc, as well as academic positions at Lancaster University and De Montfort University in the UK.

His expertise covers macroprudential analysis, stress testing, credit risk management, and corporate finance. Also, he led the design and delivery of the Licensing Authorization and Request Portal (LARP) that digitised the application process for licences, approvals and other requests granted by the CBN.

He has a PhD in Accounting and Finance and an MSc in Financial Management from Lancaster University UK, an MBA from Bayero University Kano, and a B.SC in Accountancy from the University of Nigeria Nsukka.
