Dr Atanda has over 28 years of cognate experience in private and public sectors covering regulatory policy development and implementation on data and consumer protection, consumer complaints management, market conduct, financial literacy and business process management.
Whilst at the Central Bank of Nigeria, Damola was the Project Lead for implementing strategic initiatives such as the National Baseline Survey on Financial Literacy; the Consumer Complaints Management System for the banking industry, the financial literacy E-learning portal, and the infusion of financial literacy concepts into the curriculum of primary and secondary schools in Nigeria. He also led the team that organized the inaugural edition of the National Financial Literacy Stakeholders’ Conference in Nigeria.
Dr Atanda also worked in various roles in customer service for 16 years across the Telecommunications and Banking sectors (MTN, UBA, and Standard Chartered Bank) where he gathered extensive sales and operations experience
He holds a BSc degree in Computer Science from the prestigious University of Ibadan, an MBA from the University of Jos, and a PhD in Management (with specialization in Finance) from Nile University, Abuja-FCT.
