Chibuike Dickson Nwaegerue is a seasoned financial expert with over 25 years of experience, including 21 years at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). His extensive experience spans audit practice, commercial banking, banking supervision and financial regulation. Notably, he recently served as the Director of Other Financial Institutions Supervision Department at CBN, overseeing the supervision of over 2,500 institutions, including microfinance banks, finance companies, and development finance institutions.

Chibuike’s career highlights include providing technical support as the Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor of the Financial System Stability Directorate, where he contributed to policy formulation and financial system stability. He has been instrumental in developing forward-looking supervisory strategiesfor the Nigerian Banking System, including the implementation of IFRS 9 and crisis management. He has a proven track record in risk management, financial reporting, and stakeholder management.

He holds an MBA from the University of Abuja, is a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
